So, I forgot I made this thing, and almost made another. We are now married. I deleted all the entries, but one, the first day of bento. Bento is a regular occurence, now. Not everyday, but often. As the kitchen stays cleaner and I get more staples together, I'll accomplish it more often. I'd say I average 2-3 days a week. I am amassing a bento box collection and maybe will use one one day. Yes, it annoys my husband as well. My goal is to make one on Monday. Hopefully his side dishes come in, as the reason I have not made one is that they are small. I also hope to go to Mitsuwa tomorrow and check out their bento collection. They have the real ones, made from laquered boxes. I want one with individual layers lids. They are called jyubakos when stacked. I also plan to start taking pics of the bentos. Currently I use Snapware, bought at Walmart--versetile, large, expandable, divided or not, washable, microwavable--a great find. My husband doesn't see why I can't continue using them. I will, but want the authentic cutesy stuff, too. As well as the portion control provided in smaller boxes.
